I.; MARY "Polly" (BABCOCK) b.1797 NY d.1866 Wayne Co., NY, daughter of Benjamin & Phebe (Hedges) Babcock. They were known to have resided at Sag Harbor, Suffolk Co., L. I. New York in 1827. In 1843 this family removed to Clyde, Wayne Co., NY and are listed on the 1850 Census.  They are both buried at the Maple Grove Cemetery - Clyde, Wayne Co., NY.

Elisha Perkins b. ? d.1843 Persia, Cattaraugus Co., NY. His wife is UNKNOWN. They were listed on the 1830 New York Census at Persia, Cattaraugus Co., NY. It is written that he was a "Descendant of Puritans and a long resident and prominent farmer in Persia, Cattaraugus, Co., NY". He has in his possession a Bible printed in England in 1763".

In 1884 to 1889 they homesteaded in Phillips Co., KS and in 1891 removed to Denver\Boulder Colorado. In 1898 they removed to Sunset, CA. In 1912 they returned to Boulder, CO. Both are buried at the Sunset Cemetery, Sunset, CA.

The were NOT listed on the 1830 Census at Parishville, St. Lawrence Co., NY. His Last Will and Testament was submitted and proven at the Surrogates Court at Parishville, St. Lawrence Co., NY in 1838. Leander Perkins (above) signed as a witness to his Last Will. He appointed Timothy Kendrick of Lebanon, N. H. as the trustee of his son.

Their only child was:

In 1852 they left New York and removed to a farm near Madison, Dane Co., Wisconsin where they lived for four years. In 1856 they removed to Worth, Hartland Co., Iowa.
