Deacon Joseph Perkins b.1760 Lyme, CT. d. 1824 Bridgewater, VT. Son of (Abraham Sr. & Mary (Person) (Ely) Perkins). His wife 1st. PATIENCE (HAYES), 2nd PATIENCE "Patty" (DENNISON). They were listed on the 1790-1820 VT Census at Bridgewater, Windsor Co., VT. He followed his brother Benjamin and 1/2 brothers, William, Daniel, Samuel, Perkins from CT to VT.

JOSEPH PERKINS Jr.

Dr. Joseph Perkins Jr. b.1798 Bridgewater, Windsor Co., VT d.1872 Castleton, Rutland Co., VT. Son of (Joseph & Patience (Dennison) Perkins). He was married 5 times. His first wife was MARY (GRIDLEY), 2nd; AMELIA COOK, 3rd; ZILPAH HIGLEY, 4th; CYNTHIA CLAGHORN, 5th; Mrs. IOLA (DENISON) GUERNSEY. He was listed on the 1850 Census at Castleton, Rutland Co., VT. He came to Castleton, Rutland Co., VT in 1818 where he studied Medicine for three years and graduated from the Vermont Academy of Medicine at Castleton, VT in 1821.

William Perkins Jr. b.1745-50 MA. His wife HANNAH "ANNA" (HILLARD). They were married March 23rd, 1780 at Hardwick, MA. They were listed on the 1790 VT Census at Barnard, Windsor Co., VT. They settled at Potsdam, St. Lawrence Co., New York.

THEADORE "Thomas" PERKINS

Theodore or Thomas Perkins b.1758 MA. His wife MARTHA (CONANT). They were listed on the 1790 VT Census at Pomfret, Windsor Co., VT. They moved Montpelier, VT in 1794. His wife & children settled in 1800 at Lyme, NH.

*Theodore Perkins and Martha (Conant) were from Bridgewater, MA, moved to Pomfret, VT and then to Plainfield, VT. They located on a pitch in the southwestern part of the town. In 1794 he sold his claim and moved to Montpelier, VT. In 1798 he went to Kentucky to look after a tract of several thousand acres that he had inherited. He wrote back that his claim was good, and that he was coming back for his family. He was never heard from again. His friends thought he was murdered. His wife removed to Lyme, N.H., in 1800. Their son Alfred Perkins b.1793 was the first white child born in Plainfield, VT.

WILLIAM PERKINS

William Perkins b.1.6.1755 Mt. Carmel, CT d.1840 Crown Point, Essex Co., NY. Son of (John(4) & Dorcus (Brooks) Perkins, Elisha(3),John(2),Edward(1) of New Haven, CT) His wife 1st. RUTH (HOTCHKISS) b.1751-ca.1785; 2nd. MARTHA "Patty" (CLAFLIN) b.1767 MA. In 1775 he was of Chatham, New Haven Co., CT were he enlisted in the Revolutionary War. After the war he removed to Vermont. He was listed on the 1790 VT Census at Pomfret, Windsor Co., VT. In 1800 he was of Woodstock, Windsor Co., VT. In 1803-1804 William Perkins and his family moved to Stanstead, Richelieu County, Quebec, Canada. In 1836 he removed to Crown Point, Essex Co., NY where he died.
