Green Co., OH Deeds 1815-1816, 1814-1815, 1817-1819 Book. Samuel Gowdy
and his wife Isabella of Xenia, Greene Co., OH are selling land to
Baker Perkins of Greene Co., OH for $400. A parcel of land located in
the town of Xenia, Greene Co., OH containing sixty square poles on the
waters of the Shawney run.

I find a land purchase deed dated 11.22.1841 recorded in the Greene
Co., OH Deeds Book. Joshua Butler and his wife Mary of Greene Co., OH
are selling land to Baker Perkins for $2.00. A parcel of land located
at Xenia, Greene Co., OH in consideration of their love and affection of
their sister Elizabeth (Butler) Beacham, wife of Thomas Beecham. The amount
of $2.00 is paid by Baker Perkins to permit the said Elizabeth Beacham to
receive the rents & profits of said land during her lifetime. After her
death, the land should immediately convey the lands to her heirs. |

of Portage Co., OH, David Perkins was an earlier settler and came to this county (Portage
Co., OH in 1814\1815). He is supposed to be listed in Portage Co., OH in
1830 but, the census images at Ancestry.com and Familysearch.org are so poor
that they are missing their text. He made his first land purchase at
Suffield, Portage Co., OH on 7.1.1833.

and Isaac Perkins of RI, Maine. They have a 4th cousin Match

VT or NY. **Possible** Son of (Stephen
& Ruth (Bishop) Perkins). He came
from New York to Ohio. His wife m. JUDITH (PRIOR)
b.1791 Hampshire Co., MA d.1862 OH. In 1824, it is noted in the
*History of Summit Co., OH that Elisha Perkins was a brother-in-law of Elisha Prior who m.
*Katharine (Stiles) and I have also seen it written that Elisha Prior
wives name was Harriet (Stiles). They were listed on the
1810-1830 Ohio Census at Northampton, Portage Co., OH. He was later of
Northampton, Summit Co., OH after 1840. The township didn't change, only the
county.

& Damaris (Curtis) Perkins). His wife UNKNOWN (UNKNOWN).
He was known to have lived and died at Atwater, Portage Co., OH. His
children were deed land by his brother Amasa Perkins, located at
Lexington, Stark Co., OH on Sept.16th, 1826. He was the person buried as
Stephen W. "son of Fletcher Perkins" that is
buried in the Atwater Cemetery, Atwater Portage Co., OH near the David
Baldwin plots.

petitioning the court against Thomas J. Wood in regard to the land Amasa
& Sally Perkins, conveyed to the heirs of Stephen Perkins. Land located
at Lexington, Stark Co., OH. They are asking the court to divide the 40
acres of land in two equal parts after the death of her sister
*Laura Perkins
who died without issue. She won her case was was paid $45.00 for her 1/2
share of the land.
