NATHANIEL PERKINS

Nathaniel Perkins b.1753 NH, d. 1821 Waterbury, Washington Co., VT. Son of (Solomon & Margaret (Unknown) Perkins; who was a son of Nathaniel & Hannah (Tibbets) Perkins). His 1st wife MARY "Polly" (BRYANT) 2nd wife SALLY (BRYANT) sister of his 1st wife. They were listed on the 1800 VT Census at West Haven, Rutland Co., VT. His widow later moved to Wakefield, Carroll Co., NH.

Their known Children were:

1. Peter Dean/Denn Perkins b.1790 N.H. d.1864 m. Jane (Ames) (possibly ?) 2nd. Emma Caroline (Fowler)

They were listed on the 1800 VT Census at Shrewsbury, Rutland Co., VT and in 1810 at Parkerstown (Mendon), Rutland Co., VT. This family later moved to Middlebury, (Genesee) Wyoming Co., NY. They are buried in Owasso, Shiawassee Co., Michigan.

John Lewis Perkins b. 7.15.1810 VT d.1891 East Otto, NY. Son of (William F. & Mary (unknown) Perkins). His wife MERIAH\MARIAH\MARIA (CARPENTER). In 1827 he removed from Vermont to Washington Co., NY for two years as a laborer on a farm. He is listed on the 1830 Census at Granville, Washington Co., NY. He returned to Vermont where he purchased his fathers farm. In 1832/1833 he removed with his family to New York and settled in the town of Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY and was a farmer. They are listed on the 1840 Census at Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY; on the 1850 Census at Concord, Erie Co., NY. and then in 1860 at East Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY. He was a earnest member of the M. E. Church at East Otto, NY and prominent citizen. His father William Perkins b. CT removed to NY State in 1848 at died in 1856 at Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY
