OLIVER PERKINS
Oliver Perkins b.1740-1760 CT or MA, d.1805 NY. Son of (Oliver & Hannah (Gates) Perkins). His wife is Unknown. They were listed on the 1790 NY Census at Saratoga, Albany Co., NY & in 1800 at Saratoga, Saratoga Co., NY

His known children were:

1. Jacob Perkins
2. Gamaliel Perkins b.1788
3.(possibly) Oliver Perkins b.1789 - d.1839 Bureau Co., IL
4. Prudence Perkins
5. Sally Perkins
6. Betsy Perkins
7. Charlotte Perkins

*Some have suggested his wife was named "Ann Kennedy others have suggested that his cousin Oliver Perkins, son of Oliver & Ruth (Wilcox) Perkins, was married to Ann Kennedy.

ELKANAH PERKINS
Elkanah Perkins b.1774 NH Grants of Land as well as New York land grants in the land area which in 1777 became the town of Arlington, Bennington Co., VT. His wife RHODA (GREEN). They were  married in 1795 in the area of  Saratoga, Saratoga Co., NY known as the village of Schylerville. The village of Schylerville was not incorporated until 1831.  He was a soldier in the War of 1812 and was known to have deserted his post at Plattsburgh, Clinton Co., NY in Feb. 1815. I have been unable to locate this couple on any census - No other information is known.

Their known child:

1. Jane Ann Perkins b.1816 Saratoga Co., NY m. Russell Cora Hodge   *Removed to Stowe, VT

NATHANIEL PERKINS SR.
Nathaniel Perkins (Sr.) b. 1.1.1740 R.I. d.1823 NY. His wife MARY (RECORD). They came from South Kingston, RI to Albany & Montgomery Co., NY. They were listed on the 1790 Census at both Easton, Albany Co., NY and Caughnawaga (Broadalbin) Montgomery Co., NY. He was listed at both places because he was in Easton, NY in early part of 1790 and in Caughnawaga (Broadalbin), NY in the later part of 1790. *Read his diary below.  They were then listed in 1800 at Broadalbin, Montgomery Co., NY.

Their known children were:

EBENEZER PERKINS
Ebenezer Perkins Sr. b. ca. 1740 L. I. d. Jan. 1797 NY. Son of (Valentine & Temperance (Unknown) Perkins). His wife HANNAH (JAYNE) or HANNAH (PURDY) ?. They were listed on the 1790 Census at New Paltz, Ulster Co., NY Census.

Their known children were:

1. Nathaniel Jayne Perkins b.1764 NY
2. Valentine Perkins b.1766 NY
3. William Perkins b.1768 NY
4. Zopher E. Perkins b.1770 NY
5.
Henry Perkins b. ca.1772/1773  NY
6. Ebenezer Perkins Jr. b. ca.1774
7. Charity Perkins b. ? NY

 

*He was a brother to Zopher Perkins (below)
*His father Valentine Perkins was from Voluntown/Preston, CT and removed to Coventry, RI in the 1730's. He was living at Brookhaven, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY in early 1741. He was then in the Fredericksburgh Precinct (Dutchess, then Putnam) in 1747. He buys land in New Paltz, Ulster Co in 1760, and sells part to son Ebenezer Perkins and part to son Zophar Perkins (below) in the 1760's.

ZOPHER PERKINS
Zopher Perkins. b.1745 L.I.   Son of (Valentine & Temperance (Unknown) Perkins). His wife CHARITY (COOPER ?). They were listed on the 1790 New York Census at New Paltz, Ulster Co.

Their known children were:

1. Ely Perkins b. NY
2. Enoch Perkins b.1779 NY
3. Nathan Perkins b. ? NY
4. Sally Perkins b. NY m. John Noxsie

*He was a brother to Ebenezer Perkins (above)
*His father Valentine Perkins was from Voluntown/Preston, CT and removed to Coventry, RI in the 1730's. He was then in the Fredericksburgh Precinct (Dutchess, then Putnam) in 1747. He buys land in New Paltz, Ulster Co in 1760, and sells part to son Ebenezer Perkins (above) and part to son Zophar Perkins, in the 1760's.

WILLIAM PERKINS
William Perkins b. ?  d. 8.17.1795. His wife ELIZABETH (Unknown). They were listed on the 1790 Census at Duanesburgh, Albany Co., NY. He filed his last will and testament on May 6th, 1794 with court at Albany Co., NY. In his will he lists two children by name and mentioned a heir that may be born after his will was written. He left all 3 children twenty shillings and his wife the remainder of his estate.

His known children were:

1. William Perkins Jr. b. ?
2. Elizabeth Perkins b. ?

DANIEL B. PERKINS
*Daniel Buck Perkins b.1760/64 CTd.ca.1806 Onondaga Co., NY. Son of (William & Elizabeth (Buck) Perkins) . His wife SARAH/SALLY ( BERCHARD / BURCHARD). They were listed on the 1790 & 1800 Census at Duanesburgh, Allegany Co., NY.

Their known children were:

1. Thomas Danforth Perkins b.1780
2. Daniel Buck Perkins Jr. b. 1791
3. Joseph Jacobs Perkins b. 1793
4. Hannah Perkins b. 1795  m. William Robertson/Robinson
5. Celina Perkins b. 1797
6. Erastus Burchard/Berchard Perkins b. 1800

*It is also thought that Daniel Buck Perkins b.1760/64 CT is a brother of William Perkins who married Margaret Place
