Judge Goss tied the nuptial knot this morning, uniting a young man named William Perkins, a hack driver, and a young woman named Mary Newmann. She appeared in the court Thursday and said she wished a warrant for Perkins, claiming as an offence, that he is the father of an unborn child. He was arrested this morning and the matter was settled by the parties becoming man and wife. Judge Goss issued an order acting as a special dispensation to overcome the provisions of the marriage license law, and then preformed the ceremony himself.
