James Austin Perkins b. 10.22.1814 Utica, Oneida Co., NY d. 12.20.1894 or Oct. 3rd, 1908 Gaines, Genesee Co., MI. Son of (Zebulon & HARRIET (AUSTIN) Perkins). His wife PATIENCE (BLOUNT) b.? d.1882. In 1845 he removed from Utica, Oneida Co., NY to Kingston, Ontario, Canada. From there he removed to Brantford, Ontario Canada. He then removed to Detroit, Wayne Co., MI and in 1863 settled at Gaines, Genesee Co., MI. They were listed on the 1870 MI Census at Gaines, Genesee Co., MI.
