| John Perkins b.ca.1790's. His wife MARY (CHAPIN) b.1811 NY. He is not listed on the
1840 Michigan Census but he did arrive in the state prior to 1839 with his wife and six
children. In 1841 his wife m.2nd. Jefferson Eddy at Genesee Co. ,MI. Family story has that
he left his wife and six children and moved west never to be heard from again. He was
known to have owned land in Wayne Co. ,MI. Further research might reveal more information. Their known children were:
