wife m.1837 Batavia, NY; MARTHA (SHEPARD). They
arrived in Michigan about 1839 and are listed on the 1840 & 1850 MI Census at
Fenton, Genesee Co., MI. He is buried at
Linden, Genesee Co., MI Their
known children were:

John Perkins b.ca.1790's -1810
NY. His wife MARY (CHAPIN) b.1811 NY.
Her family lived at Port Bay, Wayne Co., NY. He is not listed on the
1840 Michigan Census but, this family did arrive in the state of Michigan prior to 1839 with their
children.
In 1841 his wife m.2nd. Jefferson Eddy at Genesee Co. ,MI. Family story has that
he left his wife and six children and moved west never to be heard from again. He was
known to have owned land in Wayne Co. ,MI. Further research might reveal more information. Their known children were:

2. *Possible* Lorenzo Perkins b. ?
3. *Possible* Jeremy Perkins b. ?
4.Mary Jane Perkins b.3.5.1832 Ontario, Canada d.1928 Livingston Co.,

6.Miles St.Clair Perkins
b. 1836 MI
**NOTE** -
According to the submitter Sue, she states that
the names of Chapin, Lorenzo & Jeremy Perkins were written on a piece of
paper that Mary Jane (Perkins) Musselman passed down through the family. The
submitter is unsure if the first three children named were actually children
of John & Mary (Chapin) Perkins. No further information can be found on any
of these first three children. |

Miles St.Clair Perkins
b.9.17.1836 Wayne or St. Clair Co., MI d.4.18.1909 Livingston Co., MI. Son of (John
& Mary (Chapin) Perkins). His wife
JULIA (FINN). He was listed on the 1860 Census at Fenton,
Genesee Co., MI. By 1870 he and his wife removed to Washington
Co., Nebraska. They left NE and spent two years in Kansas. In 1880 they were back in the state of Michigan living at
Howell, Livingston Co., MI.
Their known children were:
1. Floyd Wesley Perkins b.1862 MI
2. Clement Jefferson Perkins b.1864 MI
3. Frederick James Perkins b.1869 NE
4. Miles\Milo A. Perkins b. 1872 NE
