Portage Daily Register - Portage, Columbia Co., WI - May 18th, 1891 JULIA MORRILL
PERKINS, wife of L. A. PERKINS,
died in Sioux Falls, S. D., May 13th, at the age of 49 years. A husband
and three children survive. Mrs. Perkins was born in Woburn, Mass.
February 20th, 1842. She removed to Prairie du Sac, WI, with her parents
when but 13 years old, at which place she grew to womanhood and was
married March 13th, 1860, to L. A. Perkins. About 1870 they moved to
Montello, WI, where they remained until May 4th, 1889, at which time they
went to Sioux Falls. Mrs. Perkins has many friends in Portage, WI. Portage Daily Democrat - Portage, Columbia Co., WI - September 25th, 1897 JOHN E. PERKINS,
died at his home in Columbus Sept. 22nd, at the age of 67 years. Mr.
Perkins was born in Cayuga county, N.Y., in the year 1830. In 1852 Mr.
Perkins came to the town of Hampden, Columbia county, and located on a
farm. He was married to Miss LAURA A. MORTON,
of Franklin county, N.Y., in 1856. She died in 1879, leaving three
children. Alice A. Perkins, now a teacher at Minneapolis, MN;
Warren M. Perkins, now a book keeper at St. Paul, MN and Ellen G.
Perkins at home. Portage Daily Democrat - Portage, Columbia Co., WI - December 13th, 1898 Geo. Cuff of Port Hope will arrive in the city at midnight with the remains of CHARLES PERKINS, who died at Eau Claire yesterday morning. Mr. Perkins was 73 years old and was a resident of Port Hope for many years. He has been engaged in the restaurant business at Eau Claire. The body will be taken to the residence of Frank Bloom from where the funeral will be held at ten o'clock tomorrow morning. ALSO... Portage Daily Register - Portage, Columbia Co., WI -December 14th, 1898 Funeral services over the remains of
CHARLES PERKINS, who died at Eau Claire, Dec. 12th, were held
at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bloom on East Conant street this
morning. Rev. Bushnell officiating. The remains were taken to Port Hope
where they were interred beside his wife. Mr. Perkins had been ill with
Bright's disease and suffered an attack of pneumonia which culminated in
his death. The remains arrived in Portage on passenger No. 2 last night
accompanied by his two children and George Cuff. Portage Daily Register - Portage, Columbia Co., WI - July 7th, 1899 JAMES PERKINS,
died at his home in Endeavor July 4th, and was buried on the 6th. Mr.
Perkins was a member of the John Kershaw post G.A.R., of Briggsville,
which body attended the funeral. Mr. Perkins had been a resident of
Marquette county for a number of years and for a long time resided at
Corning station. |
