**IMPORTANT NOTES**:
Canadian marriage records list that it was
the above
Hiram Perkins who m. Harriet (McNames)
and this same record states that
Harris Perkins m. Elizabeth (Dale).
When looking at the 1851 & 1861 Canadian Census
Records - Harris Perkins is listed with a wife named "Harriet" b.1816
Canada.
**Conclusion** Either there were two woman by the name of
Harriet McNames with one marrying Hiram Perkins and the other
marrying Harris Perkins or there was one Harriet McNames who was
married to both.
Family Ties ? :
a.Rachael (Perkins) Congdon, a daughter of
Harris Perkins - MI
Death Record states that her parents were
Harris Perkins & Elizabeth
(McNames) of Middlesex Co., Canada. Given her birth year, her mother
was probably Elizabeth (Dale) and she grew up thinking Harriet
McNames was her mother.
b.Rachael (Perkins) Congdon's brother, Jacob Perkins MI Death Record states that his
fathers name was "unknown" and his mother
name was Elizabeth (Dale).
c.Rachael (Perkins) Congdon's brother or 1/2 brother,
Roger Perkins MI Death
Record states that his father was Harris Perkins and his mothers
name was "unknown".
d.Rachael (Perkins) Congdon resided at Evart, Osceola Co., MI
and is buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery - Evart, Osceola Co., MI which
is the same Cemetery where Norman W. Perkins
(above) is buried. Is Norman W. Perkins related to this family>>??? |
1. Lydia Perkins (above). Her MI
Death Record states that her father was Hiram Perkins and her mother
was named Dorcas McClaire
2. Rosanna Perkins (above). Her MI Death Record states that her
father was Hiram Perkins and her mother was named Dorcas McClarey b.
VT
3. Hiram M. Perkins (above). His MI Death Record states that his
father was Hiram Perkins ahd his mother was named Dorcas McClary |
**Note: There was a early land purchase by a "Hiram
Perkins" on 9/15/1835 in Township/Range
006 South-002 East, Section 19 & 20, Lenawee Co., MI. I am uncertain if it
was the above Hiram Perkins who purchased this land. |
