for two years as a laborer on a farm. He is listed on the 1830 Census at
Granville, Washington Co., NY. He returned to Vermont where he purchased
his fathers farm. In 1832/1833 he
removed with his family to New York and settled in the town of Otto,
Cattaraugus Co., NY and was a
farmer. They are listed on the 1840 Census at Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY; on the 1850 Census at Concord, Erie Co., NY.
and then in 1860 at East Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY.
He was a earnest member of the M. E. Church at East Otto, NY and
prominent citizen. His father William Perkins b. CT
removed to NY State in 1848 at died in 1856 at Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY
