Josiah Perkins
b.1776 CT. (**Possible** - Son of (Samuel &
Abigail (Unknown) Perkins). His
wife CLARISSA (PAYNE). They were listed
on the 1820-1840 New York Census at Windsor, Broome Co., N.Y. In 1850 they
moved to Durell, Bradford Co., PA. In 1855 they moved back to Conklin,
Broome Co., NY and were living with their son Harlow Perkins until the
tragic house fire that occurred on Nov. 7th 1856 when Clarissa (Payne)
Perkins perished in the house fire. Josiah Perkins moved back to Susquehanna Co., PA by 1860 when he went to live with his son
David Perkins and family at Bridgewater, Susquehanna Co., PA, and his
daughter Betsey Perkins age 32.
