QUEBEC PERKINS MEN Perkins Research


GEORGE PERKINS

George Perkins b. ca.1797 VT d.3.28.1848 Canada. His wife CAROLINE (GIBSON) who he married in the state of Vermont. Not much is known about him. He resided in Dunham, Quebec Canada. It has been suggested he was the brother of but (*probably a cousin of) William G. Perkins  and James Perkins Jr.  of Dunham and Sarah Perkins.

A man named
Nathaniel Perkins b.1776 is buried between George & Caroline Perkins at the Harvey Cemetery in Dunham, Quebec and he could be the possible father of George Perkins.

Henry Barzillai Perkins b.ca.1805 VT. Son of (John Ayers & Ann Catherine (Cossit) Perkins).  His wife HANNAH (STEELE). They resided in Stanstead, Stanstead Co., Quebec.

Their only child was:

James Perkins Jr. b. ca. 1783 d. 1845 Quebec.  Son of (James & Unknown (Unknown) Perkins ). .He was married twice. His 1st wife MARY (GRAIG/CRAIG ?), 2nd. HANNAH (BURNHAM). They resided in Dunham, Quebec, Canada.

Their known children were:

1. Orra Perkins m. John Blake

*James Perkins Jr. (above) was the brother of William G. Perkins, Nathaniel Perkins and Sarah (Perkins) Aitken, wife of John Aitken.
*John Blake was a Witness to the death of James Perkins Jr. in 1845. He is listed as ("James Perkins, son of James")
