the 1840 Census at Madison,

The below source stated that his parents were natives of New Jersey who removed to Ohio
in 1806. His wife CYNTHIA (PICKSLEY\PIXLEY)
b.1800 MA d.1873 Benton Co., IA. They were married 9.24.1818 at Marietta,
Washington Co., Ohio. Two years prior to his death he and his
wife removed to Benton Co., IA to live with his son Royal A. Perkins. They
were known to have had 11 children.
