THOMAS PERKINS
Thomas Perkins b. 1783 DE d.1855 Chartiers Township, Allegheny Co., PA. Son of (William & Sarah (Marshall) Perkins). He came from Wilmington, Delaware to Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA. in 1803. His 1st wife HARRIET* (BARCLAY) m. 2nd. RACHAEL* (FITZGERALD). They were listed on the 1810-1830 Census at Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA. In 1840-1850 they resided at St. Clair, Allegheny Co., PA. He was a watch maker/jeweler by trade and was one of the founders of the Bank of Pittsburgh, PA.

WILLIAM PERKINS
William Perkins, Sr. b.1811 PA d.1869 Lakeville, OH*. Son of (Thomas & Harriet (Barclay) Perkins). His wife CATHERINE (SORGUIS) b.1816 France ? OH ?. They were listed on the 1850 & 1860 Census at Allegheny Co., PA. Like his father he was a jeweler by trade, and he was also a mail agent for the Ft. Worth Central Rail Road.

His known children w/1st wife were:

JAMES PERKINS
James Perkins b. ca.1778. He was listed on the 1820 PA Census as a Free Person of Color. His 1st wife HANNAH (Unknown), his 2nd wife CHLOE (UNKNOWN). They were listed on the 1810 at Lower Delaware Ward, Philadelphia Co., PA. On the 1820 at New Market Ward, Philadelphia Co., PA. On the 1830-1840 PA Census at Southwark Ward, Philadelphia Co., PA.

His known children were:

I find a deed dated 1.5.1830 recorded in the Philadelphia Co., PA Deeds Book 1829-1830. James & Chloe Perkins of Philadelphia, PA are selling land to Mary Carroll of the same place located on Plumb & German streets in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA that they purchased from Peter Par/Pare on 10.4.1821.

I find a deed dated 4.15.1836 recorded in the Philadelphia Co., PA Deeds Book 1836. James Perkins (Oysterman) & Chloe Perkins his wife of the district of Southwark, Philadelphia Co., PA are selling their land in Southwark, Philadelphia Co., PA marked "D number 32" on the south side of Christian street, east of 5th street to Ellen McMahon, widow of Phillip McMahon. This being the same parcel of land sold by Phillip McMahon to James Perkins on 10.18.1820.

I find a deed dated 4.13.1842 recorded in the Chester Co., PA Deeds Book 1842-1843. James & Chloey Perkins of West Caln, Chester Co., PA are selling land to Phinehas Ash of the same place, located at West Caln, Chester Co., PA
