The Vermont Tribune - Ludlow, Windsor Co., VT -February 18th, 1881
LUTHER PERKINS,
died at Perkinsville February 3rd, aged 79 years and 10 months. His
death occurred just one year and a few hours from the death of William
Payne; between their deaths no other death occurred in Perkinsville or the
immediate neighborhood. Mr. Perkins was born about three-fourths of a mile
from the village, and spent his days either there or on the place where he
died, with the exception of a short time before his marriage. He united
with the Baptist church April 27th, 1844, and was a good church member and
citizen. February 6th, 1877 was the golden anniversary of his marriage to
BETSEY WOOD of Rindge, N. H., which
was celebrated by friends and neighbors, the first event of the kind ever
celebrated in Perkinsville. Two or three of Mrs. P's sisters with their
husbands reached the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage, one of them

Mrs. Cole, and old lady living with
CYRUS PERKINS, died very suddenly, at his
residence, the 25th ult. The Vermont Tribune - Ludlow, Windsor Co., VT - August 2nd, 1889
LUKE PERKINS,
died at the town farm, last week, and was buried Wednesday. He has
children, but not one followed him to the grave.
