Vermont Phoenix - Brattleboro, Windham Co., VT - April 13th, 1894
J. D. PERKINS,
died at the home of his son-in-law, L. M. Read, last Thursday, and was
buried in Oak Hill cemetery Saturday. All the older residents of Bellows
Falls will remember him as a business man in our village for the 30 years
preceding about 14 years ago, he having been incapacitated by paralysis
since then. His trade that of a jeweler, and 20 years ago he was reputed
to be the best man in the place in care of fine watches. He was a past
master of King Solomon's lodge of Masons, and a prominent member of the
fraternity of Odd Fellows, being the last charter member of the original
lodge instituted here. He was 74 years of age and his kindly face and
pleasant bearing will long be remembered by all his old friends. He leaves
a wife and one daughter, Mrs. L. M. Read. Vermont Phoenix - Brattleboro, Windham Co., VT - July 1st, 1898
Mrs. PERKINS, died suddenly from heart
failure. She lay down about 11 o'clock, and upon effort to waken her after
a couple of hours she was found to be unconscious, and breathed her last
in about an hour. She was at an advanced age, and had been growing weaker
for some time. She died in her old home, as she would have chosen. Vermont Phoenix - Brattleboro, Windham Co., VT - July 3rd, 1891
Mrs. MARY S. PERKINS,
wife of CLARK E. PERKINS, died
after a long illness June 25th, aged 42 years.
