Feb. 4th: Miss Ellen Perkins, aunt of Mrs. J. W. Benton, died in her home at Athens, PA.

1940: Jan-March

Feb. 21st: Mr. William H. Perkins, 82, died. Prominent Banker in New York City, President of the Bank of America before it's merger with the National City Bank in 1931. He was removed to Athens, PA by John W. Benton Jr. whose mother, Mrs. John W. Benton, was a niece of Mr. Perkins. Mr. Perkins was a brother of Mrs. Benton's mother, the late Mrs.  Mary P. Egert of this city. The only immediate survivors are a sister, Mrs. William Webster of Philadelphia, PA and a brother, John J. Perkins of Los Angeles, CA. Mr. William H. Perkins was never married.

1940: April-June

April 16th: Mr. Martin Perkins, 56, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eugene LaFave. His funeral will be held at his sisters house, Mrs. Francis Baker. He was born in Ogdensburg, Nov. 1st, 1883, son of Michael and Mary (McGuire) Perkins. Besides his wife, the former Miss Maude Lesperance, are four sons, Allen Perkins, Leo Perkins, Stanley Perkins and George Perkins. Five daughters, Mrs. LaFave, Mrs. Mary Buck, Mrs. Leona Kelly, Vivien Perkins and Harriet Perkins all of this city. Three brothers, Edward Perkins of Buffalo, NY and John Perkins and Michael Perkins of Ogdensburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Edgar Sholette.

Miss Nellie Perkins who was married to Mr. Fred Duquette, died 22 years ago. (1918).

1942: July-Sept

July 26th: Mr. Frederick Perkins of Ogdensburg, NY, and now a resident of CA, had a meeting with an old local friend, Mrs. Arthur J. Landry after not seeing one another for 52 years. Mr. Perkins and Mr. Landry said their good-bye's 52 years ago when Fred Perkins was leaving for Chicago. They met in the Windy city 25 years ago, but their paths did not cross again until today. Mr. Perkins was accompanied by his wife, his sister Mrs. Eva Fuller and her son Donald and wife, all of Remsen, NY. They called on Herbert Thornhill of the A & P Store, who's step-mother, Mrs. Stephen Thornhill, a sister of Mr. Perkins. Mr. Perkins is a son of William Perkins, an early resident of Ogdensburg. After living in Chicago a number of years, Mr. Perkins went to Florida and then to California. Mr. Fred Perkins is a brother of Mr. Frank Perkins, who was locally famous as "Cy Perkins" one of the great catchers of the Past-timers baseball team. Another brother, Charles Perkins and a sister Winnie Perkins are dead.

July 22nd: Mrs. Margaret Perkins, widow of the late William H. Perkins, died in her home. Mr. Perkins died June 3rd, 1908. Surviving are four sons, Harry Perkins and Joseph E. Perkins of Ogdensburg, NY, Willard C. Perkins of Cleveland, OH, Walter J. Perkins of Syracuse, NY and a daughter, Mrs. Rose Pearl Cahill of Ogdensburg, NY. A brother Charles Malony of Cleveland, OH. Four sisters, Mrs. James Garnett, Mrs. Levi Bellinger, Mrs. Raymond Bellinger and Mrs. B. Edwin all of Watertown, NY. Two brothers-in-law, David Perkins and Eli Perkins. A son George Perkins died in 1933 and a daughter Gertrude Perkins in 1908.

July 30th: Mrs. William H. Perkins, 83, died here Sunday.

1944: Oct-Dec.

Dec. 3rd: Private Emery Perkins, son of Michael Perkins, married in England to Miss Marine Westaway of Broadlands, Newton, Abbott, South Devon, England.

1945: April-June

Mr. Edward Perkins, 51, native of this city was found dead in his bed in his quarters aboard the S.S. Cowle at Two-Harbor, MN.

Ogdensburg Journal: May 7th, 1945

Edward Perkins, 51, native of Ogdensburg, was found dead in bed in his quarters aboard the S.S. Cowle at Two Harbor, Minn., Sunday morning. Death was due to a heart seizure. Mr. Perkins was a sailor on Great Lakes vessels, and was a member of the crew of the Cowle, serving as a cook on the ship. Born in Ogdensburg, July 6th, 1893, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Maguire) sic: McGuire) Perkins. A veteran of the First World War, Mr. Perkins was employed for a time by the Manhattan Silk Co., while residing here. He had made his home at Buffalo for the past eight years. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Francis Baker, city, and Mrs. Edgar Sholette, Watertown, and two brothers, Michael Perkins of Ogdensburg and John Perkins of Massena. The body will arrive here late tomorrow, and will be taken to the home of Mr. Perkins brother, Michael Perkins at 1101 Knox St. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending arrival of the body.

April 14th: Mr. Franklin A. Perkins, second son of Harry Perkins of Prescott, married April 6th, 1946 Miss Ruth A. Alkerton, daughter of John Alkerton, late of Spencerville, Ontario.

1946: Oct-Dec.

Nov.3rd: Mr. Raymond Joseph Perkins married Miss Blanche Phyllis Hick, daughter of William Hicks of Lisbon. Mr. Perkins is the son of Mr. Michael Perkins.

1948: Jan-March

Mr. John W. Perkins, 81, died Sunday morning. Mr. Perkins lived twelve years in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Stanley A. Beach. He was born in Ogdensburg, NY and came to Syracuse in 1919.

1949: Jan-March

Jan. 9th: Miss Irene Margaret Perkins, daughter of the late George Perkins of Potsdam and formerly of Ogdensburg, married Mr. Richard Murphy, son of Elmer J. Murphy of Potsdam. Attendants were Lois L. Perkins, sister of the bride. Elmer J. Murphy was the former Mayor of Potsdam. The brides sister, Miss Catherine Perkins is the chief operator of the Ogdensburg telephone exchange.
