1930: April 17th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. John Perkins, 82, died April 15th. Resident of Montague, NY.

1930: Sept. 11th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. Willard T. Perkins married Miss Katherine C. Harris. Mr. Perkins is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Albert E. Perkins of Wooster, Ohio. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Russell W. Harris. Albert E. Perkins Jr., brother of the groom attended. Mr. Perkins is a graduate of the Wooster H.S. and then from the Mechanics Institute at Rochester, NY Class of 1930. He is employed as an optical engineer at Baush & Lomb.

1931: May 7th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mrs. Avery Emerson, 68, died. Miss Cora Melissa Perkins who was born Feb. 1st, 1865, daughter of Allen and Amanda (Brown) Perkins. She was married Dec. 30th, 1884 to Mr. Avery Emerson. Eight children were born to them, twin daughters and another daughter passed away in infancy. Surviving to mourn their mothers loss, three daughters, Mrs. Fay Foote, Mrs. Mordecia Gallup, Miss Alice Emerson, and two sons, Fred Emerson and Chauncey Emerson all of Lyons Falls, NY. 16 grand-children, three brothers, Dwight Perkins of Boise City, Idaho, Mr. Meade Perkins of East Rochester, NY and Levi Perkins of Los Angeles, Calf.

1931: March 5th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Miss. Ida Millie Perkins, 68, died at her home. She was born in the town of Pickney, NY, daughter of Enos and Louise Perkins. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Louise McDonald and four grand-children who all reside in Copenhagen, NY.

1932: Jan. 14th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mrs. Morde Gallup received notice of the death of her Uncle, Mr. George Meade Perkins, who passed away at his home in Rochester, NY on Monday Dec. 14th. He was 68 years and 11 months. He leaves behind his wife, Sarah E. and one son, Harold Perkins, two brothers, Dwight Perkins of Boise, Idaho and Levi Perkins of Los Angeles, Calf.

1932: Aug. 18th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Perkins, formerly of Turin, NY now residents of Brookfield, NY Celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Mrs. Perkins will be remembered as Miss Alice Case, formerly of Turin, NY.

1933: Jan. 26th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. John Charles Perkins, 72, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Campbell Birney. He was born March 22nd, 1860 in the town of Denmark, NY, son of John & Emily (Matice) Perkins. He had been a farmer all of his life. Mr. Perkins never married. Burial in Sand Hill Cemetery at Natural Bridge.

1935: Jan. 17th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mrs. Emma Adella Perkins, 90, widow of Dioclesian Perkins, died at the home of her son, Mr. George M. Perkins a retired Methodist Minister. She was a native of Lowville, NY and died in Syracuse, NY. Mrs. Perkins would have observed her 91st Birthday on Feb. 22nd. She was born in Lowville, NY, daughter of David and Charlotte (Weber) Scofield. Her husband died 50 years ago. She came to Syracuse to live with her son 10 years ago. Surviving are her son, five grand-children and a great grandchild. Four grandsons will be bearers, Prescott D. Perkins of Binghampton, Paul M. Perkins and George M. Perkins Jr. of Syracuse, NY. Burial will be in Rome, NY.

1935: March 14th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Perkins and Mrs. and Mrs. Roy Perkins were in town to attend the funeral of their cousin, Mrs. Seth Burdick. Mabel Edythe (Norton) Burdick was the daughter of Adelbert and Jennie (Perkins) Norton, she was born in Greig, NY on Aug. 30th, 1893. In April 1916 she married Mr. Seth Burdick.

1935: Nov. 28th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

45 Years Ago: Nov. 27th, 1890: Mr. George Meade Perkins and Miss Alice Brayman of Greig, NY, were united in Marriage.

1936: Aug 13th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mrs. Leslie Nicholas, who was fatally injured when hit by a car, died. She was formerly Miss Edla Perkins, a native of Lewis Co., NY.

1936: Sept. 17th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Miss Nina Perkins, teacher, was found dead in her hotel room bed at the Point Inn, Lake Brantingham. She began her teaching career at Bridgewater and then to Chittenango Falls for 29 years. She retired in March 1933. Her teaching career extended over a period of 50 years. Miss Perkins was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Perkins. After their deaths she went to live with her sister, Mrs. Felix Tondeur. The sister and a nephew are the only survivors.

1936: April 19th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mrs. Guy Perkins, 50, a native of Boonville, NY and Mrs. Doris Ranfler, 26, a daughter, both of whom resided on a farm a mile south of McConnellsville, died Monday morning at Rome City Hospital after they suffered severe burns while attempting to start a fire in a kitchen range with kerosene, Saturday evening.

1937: Jan 7th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mrs. Adlie E. Case Perkins, 74, died Jan. 5th. She was born on a farm at Turin, NY on June 8th, 1863, daughter of Roderick S. and Amanda (Hubbard) Case, one of six children. She married Gerard A. Perkins in Aug. 1881. Mr. Perkins died a year ago Jan 5th, 1936. Mrs. Perkins had been staying with her niece, Mrs. George Colegrove of Turin, NY. She is survived by one half-sister, Mrs. D. Clinton Allen of Port Leyden and a half-brother, Mr. Adelbert R. Case and a step-sister, Mrs. Noah Whittleacy.

  1937: Feb. 11th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. John  Perkins died at his home on Copenhagen Road, five miles from Carthage, NY last Thursday.

1937: Nov. 18th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Miss Carol Jean Perkins, 12 days old, passed away, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Willart T. Perkins. Mrs. Perkins was formerly Miss Katherine Harris. Also surviving a brother, Gordon Perkins.

1938: Feb. 3rd - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. Adelbert Norton, 78, died. His wife Jennie (Perkins) Norton died several years ago. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Sterling Patterson and Mrs. Olive Salmon of Greig, NY.

1938: Feb. 10th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. Adelbert George Norton, died. Born June 20th, 1862 at Huntersland, Schoharie Co., NY, son of George and Elmina (Campbell) Norton. He married Sept. 17th, 1884, Miss Jennie Perkins, daughter of Edwin and Melissa (Noulton) Perkins. To this union were born four daughters, Mrs. Aphra Tucker who died in 1925, Mrs. Seth Burdick who died in 1935, Mrs. Olive Salmons and Mrs. Sterlyn Patterson of Greig, NY. His wife Jennie died Jan. 5th, 1925.

1938: Feb. 24th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mr. Levi B. Perkins and Miss Jennie L. McConnell of Greig, NY, were united in marriage on Feb. 11th at the Congregational Church at Port Leyden, NY.

1938: Sept. 15th - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mrs. Mary Ann (Perkins) McNeil, 68, died. Widow of Robert McNeil. She was born in the town of Pickney on Dec. 2nd, 1869, daughter of John & Mary (Wrinkle) Perkins. She married April 27th, 1895 Mr. Robert McNeil. They operated a farm in Montague, NY. Mr. McNeil died Jan. 17th, 1925. Surviving are four sons,  Fay McNeil of Montague, NY, Roy McNeil of Smyrna, Claude McNeil and Gilbert McNeil of Lowville, NY and one daughter, Miss Mildred McNeil.

1939: Sept. 21st - Journal-Republican, Lowville, NY

Mrs. Emily Perkins, 55, widow of John Perkins, died at her home near Copenhagen, NY , last Saturday.

45 Years Ago: Nov. 23rd, 1895, Mr. Enos F. Perkins died at the home of his son-in-law, John Ryther in Harrisburg, NY.
