(Mr.) Levi Perkins who was born in Potsdam about sixty-three years ago (1842), and who was supposed by his friends to have departed this life these many years past, appeared in Potsdam last week alive and well and at once commenced a search for his relatives. He found his brothers, Frank Perkins & Joe Perkins on the Lenuy Farm, his brother John Perkins, in Colton, and his brother Ezra Perkins in Malone, NY. His aged mother, (Mrs.) Ezra Perkins of Malone, NY, is also alive and although he did not reveal his identity to her, she recognized him after a few minutes of conversation. Mr. Perkins left Colton, NY about 35 years ago, and went west. After spending a short time in San Francisco, he sailed to Honolulu where he has spent the past thirty years of his life. He neglected to write home during all these years, so his family naturally supposed he was dead.
