Ephraim Perkins III b.1810 NY d.1891 Kenosha, WI. Son of (Ephraim Jr. & Lucy (Merrick) Perkins). His wife "FANNY" (MERRICK) b.1812 Wilbraham, MA d.12.23.1845 Montalona/Richmond, IL They were married at Wilbraham, MA on 12.25.1835. They came from Trenton, Oneida Co., NY. He was listed on the 1850 WI Census at Burlington, Racine Co., WI. No wife listed.  In 1851 there is a marriage certificate found for an Ephraim Perkins m. LUCY (CROSBY) in Kenosha Co., WI. In 1860 he is listed at Somers, Kenosha Co., WI with wife LUCY b.1820 NY and children Lucy; Fidelia ; Helen & Elizabeth.

His known children were:

EPHRAIM PERKINS Jr.
Ephraim Perkins Jr. b.1773 Becket, Berkshire Co., MA d.1851 Burlington, WI. Son of (Ephraim Sr. & Mary (Chaplin) Perkins).  His wife LUCY (MERRICK) b.1773 Windham, MA d.1851 WI. They came from Trenton, Oneida Co., NY where they were listed on the 1810-1830 NY Census. In 1835 he moved his family to Manhattan Township, Will County, IL at a place known as Five-Mile Grove. They removed to Wisconsin in 1840 and were then listed on the 1850 WI Census at Burlington, Racine Co., WI.

Known children that came to Wisconsin were:

Edward Perkins b.1803 Mansfield, CT. Son of (Ephraim & Lucy (Merrick) Perkins). His wife SARAH (GAGE). He resided at Trenton, Oneida Co., NY. He may have been the Edward Perkins listed on the 1840 WI Census  at Racine Co., WI.  One source lists that he lived and died at Trenton, NY and another source lists that he died in Illinois.

EDWARD GAGE PERKINS
(Dr.) Edward Gage Perkins b.1836 Joliet, IL d. 1912 Colorado Springs, CO. Son of (Edward & Sarah (Gage) Perkins). His wife MATTIE (VAN KIRK). In 1854 he traveled to California and lived there several years. He moved to Burlington, Racine Co., Wisconsin. It was probably he who is listed on the 1860 Census at Kenosha, Kenosha Co., WI as E.G. Perkins. He later removed to Colorado Springs, Co. and was a resident for 34 years when he died.

Their known children were:

1. (Dr.) Pliny H. Perkins b.1873 Burlington, Racine Co., WI d. 1914 Colorado Springs, CO. *He resided at one time in Dunlap, Harrison Co., IA.

He was 1st married at Stonington, CT to MARIA (STANTON) who died at Trenton, NY on 1-13-1833. His 2nd wife Julia (Dyer/Deyer) Perkins was listed as the head of household on the 1850 WI Census at Burlington, Racine Co., WI. Origen Perkins made his first land purchase in Wisconsin on 12/10/1840 at Racine Co., WI.

William Perkins b.1792-1800 England. He was listed on the 1850 WI Census at Rochester, Racine Co., WI. He was listed at the same location on the 1860 WI Census. He was a bachelor.

George Perkins b.1832 N. H.. *Probably Son of: (George & Melissa (Morris) Perkins). He was listed on the 1850 WI Census at Racine, Racine Co., WI at a Hotel owned by James Lafflin.

GEORGE PERKINS
George Perkins b.1810 N. H. His wife MELISSA (MORRIS) b.1821 NH. They arrived in Racine Co., WI in 1839. In 1850 he was listed on at Burlington, Racine Co., WI as a Wagon Maker in the establishment of his brother-in-law Roswell & Rowena (Unknown) Morris. In 1860 he and his wife were listed at Paris, Kenosha Co., WI. In 1870 they resided in Racine, Racine Co., WI.

He was known to have a brother Benjamin Perkins who died in Racine Co., WI in 1846 and a brother whose name started with an "R" Perkins that was living in Texas in 1902.
It may have been this Benjamin Perkins of Racine, WI who was the B. R. Perkins who had wrote a letter in 1843, telling his brother Barnalias Perkins of Columbus, OH to come to Racine to ply his trade. That there were no carriage makers in Racine, WI at the time.

He resided at Burlington, Racine Co., WI. His 1st wife EMILY (WAINWRIGHT) b. 3/5/1837 d. 5/18/1877.  His 2nd wife SARAH (STARKEY) b. 6/21/1863 d. 2/19/1957.

His known children w/1st wife were:
