Samuel Field Perkins b.1805 VT.
Son of (Gaius & Eunice (Field)
Perkins). His wife
MARY DESIRE (MCINTYRE). In 1832 he
removed from Woodstock, VT and purchased land at Keeseville, Essex Co., NY.
He later sold out his leather & shoe business at Keeseville, Essex Co., VT
and in 1836/1837 settled at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan. They are listed on the 1850
Michigan Census in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. Their
known children were:
1. Fredrick Barker Perkins b.1843
2. Charles Dunham Perkins b.1845 d.1847
3. Gaius William
