JAMES PERKINS
James Perkins b. 1780 Clifton Park, Saratoga Co., NY d.8.1.1868 Galesburg, Knox Co., IL. Son of (Joseph & Unknown (Unknown) Perkins). His wife m. 2.27.1815 at Ransom, Oneida Co., NY; MARY (LEGRO) b.1798 d.3.29.1881 They were listed on the 1810-thru-1865 Census at Booneville, Oneida Co., NY Census.  In 1815 & 1816 he removed from Booneville, Oneida Co., NY. They also resided at St. Lawrence Co., NY and possibly Rochester, Monroe Co., NY. In 1817 they returned to Booneville, Oneida Co., NY until 1851 when he removed to New Britain, Hartford Co. CT until 1856. In 1857 he returned to Booneville, Oneida Co., NY.  In 1866 they removed to Galesburg, Knox Co., IL where they died.

Their known children were:

ENOCH PERKINS
Enoch Perkins b. ca. 1783 Pittsfield, MA d.1850/1851 IA. His wife m.ca.1808 Pittsfield, MA;  RUTH ELY (MARVIN). This couple followed her parents to Otsego Co., NY. They were listed on the 1810 Census at Hartwick, Otsego Co., NY. This couple later moved to Delaware Co., Iowa where they died.

Their known children were:

DAVID PERKINS
David Perkins b.1765 Freetown, MA. His wife is Unknown. In 1803 he moved from MA to New Marlboro, VT and in 1804 to Chenango Point, NY. In 1813 he moved to Gorham, Ontario Co., NY until 1815 when he removed to Cuyahoga Co., Ohio. They are listed on the 1820 & 1830 Census at Chargin, Cuyahoga Co., OH. He applied for his Revolutionary War pension in 1833 from Cuyahoga Co., Ohio.
