| Daniel Perkins b.1760 CT or MA d.1850
Chelsea, Orange Co., VT. Son of
(Jacob & Martha (Tappan) Perkins). His wife
MARY "Polly" (ELDERKIN). In
1777 he resided in Windham, Windham Co., CT. They were listed on the 1800-1820 VT
Census at Chelsea, Orange Co., VT. He was listed on the 1850 Census at
Chelsea, Orange Co., VT in the household of his daughter and son-in-law; Calvin & Mary
(Perkins) Clark. Their
known children were:

Soldier - Bounty Records 1800-1900 - He served in Capt. Clark's company,
commanded by Col. Spencer of the Connecticut Militia. In Dec. 1777, he was
ordered to the state of Rhode Island to join a regiment stationed at
Providence, RI for 3 months under the command of Col. Spencer & that he was
verbally discharged the 4th or 5th of April, 1778. On July 1st, 1778 he
enlisted or volunteered again in the Connecticut Militia in the company
commanded by Simon Smith & Col. George Willy's for the term of 3 months. On
the last day of July 1778 he joined the company at Buitanmark,
CT about 10 miles from Norwich, CT making Fascines & Gabions for
fortifications. He also guarded the Continental stores or stoves >? . He
believes he stayed two months. In 1779, he again joined the Continental
Militia as a substitute for his father Jacob Perkins in the company
commanded by Capt. Teriken\Tinkers, Leiut. Young & Engign Roberts and in the
regiment commanded by Col. Stoans of Mansfield, CT. He was ordered to
Grafton, CT for three months. He was engaged at Grafton and Fort Griswold
when he was discharged at Fort Griswold in Nov. 1779. He enlisted again in
1780 for 9 months. In 1781 as a guard to guard the jails at Windham,
CT which contained about 200 British prisoners. He also was a guard at New
London, CT. His service consisted of about 18 months & 8 or 10 days total.

d.10.16.1827 Tunbridge, Orange Co., VT. His wife MARY
"MOLLY" (RING) d.1824. They were listed on the 1800-1820 VT
Census at Tunbridge, Orange Co., VT. In 1828 on one of the articles
contained in the VT probate records for the estate of Seth Perkins, his wife
is listed as JUDITH (UNKNOWN). Their
known children were:
