Vermont Biographical Sketches

Eliphaz Perkins b.1753 Norwich, CT d. 1828 Marietta, Athens Co., Ohio. Son of (John & Lydia (Tracy) Perkins). His wife 1st. LYDIA (FITCH) , 2nd. CATHERINE (GREENE), 3rd. Mrs. ANNA (CANTRON\CALDWELL) CULVER. He was listed on the 1790 VT Census at Leicester, Addison Co., VT. He left his home in CT in 1789 and started for Ohio. He resided for two years in Clarksburg, VA. He practiced medicine in CT and in Vermont until 1799 when he removed to Athens, OH in 1800.

His known children were:

IGNATIOUS PERKINS

Ignatious/Ignatius Perkins b. ca.1765/1768 CT d.1833 Manchester, Hartford Co., CT. His wife m.1789 in CT; HANNAH (RUSSELL). They came from Middlesex Co., MA to Cavendish, Windsor Co., VT. They followed her brother, Noadiah Russell to Cavendish, Windsor Co., VT. They didn't stay long as they are not enumerated on the 1800 Windsor Co., VT Census. They removed to Hartford Co., CT.
