The Wisconsin State Register, (Portage, WI) Saturday, May 23, 1891.

May 13th: Mrs. Julia Morrill Perkins, wife of L. A. Perkins in Sioux Falls, S. D., at the age of 49 years. A husband and three children survive. Mrs. Perkins was born in Woburn, MA, Feb. 20th, 1842. She moved to Prairie Du Sac, WI, with her parents when but 13 years old, at which place she grew to womanhood and married March 13th, 1860, to L. A. Perkins. About 1870 they moved to Montello, WI, where they remained until May 4th, 1889, at which point they went to Sioux Falls, S.D. Mrs. Perkins has many friends in Portage, WI.

Mr. John E. Perkins, died at his home in Columbus, on the 22nd, aged 67. He had been a resident of this county since 1854, first settling in the town of Hampden. His wife died in 1879. Three children  survive; they are Alice A. Perkins of Minn., W. M. Perkins of St. Paul, MN and Ellen G. Perkins at home. He has resided in Columbus since 1893.

Mr. James Perkins, died at his home in Endeavor July 4th and was buried on the 6th. Mr. Perkins was a member of the John Kershaw post G.A.R. of Briggsville, WI, which body attended the funeral. Mr. Perkins had been a resident of Marquette Co. for a number of years and for a long time resident of Corning Station.
