1895: Feb. 19th: The Evening Herald, Syracuse, NY.

 Death of Luther G. Perkins

Feb. 19th: Auburn, NY. Ex-Alderman and Ex-Supervisor. Luther G. Perkins died at his house in Frazee Street yesterday morning, aged 70 years. He was well known and highly respected throughout the city. For many years he has been a mason and contractor and served the city as Alderman for two terms, 1874-1875, representing the old seventh ward with the present recorder, Charles S. Guion as colleague.

1900: March. 18th: The Sunday Herald, Syracuse, NY.

March 17th: Elmira, NY: On Wednesday two members of the famous Beecher family passed away - The Rev. Thomas Kennient Beecher and Miss Mary Foote (Beecher) Perkins, the former in this city and the later in Hartford, CT. Each reached a ripe old age, the divine being 76 years old and his sister being 95 years old. Mrs. Perkins with her sister, Catherine Beecher, established the Hartford female seminary.

1900: Oct. 31st: The Evening Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Julia A. Perkins, died, at her home, number 823 Herkimer Street. She was 67 years old. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon. She was the mother of Mrs. A. J. Bush of Pomoun, Calf., J. S. Perkins of Detroit, and  Mrs. Alice Hickok, of this city.

Mrs. Julia A. Perkins died in Syracuse Wednesday, Oct. 31, 1900,aged 67 years. Deceased was formerly a resident here and was the mother of Mrs. Alice Hickok. Funeral will be held at the house 323 Herkimer street Friday at 2 p. m.

1900: Oct. 31st: The Evening Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Julia A. Perkins died today at her home. She was 47 years old. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon. She was the mother of Mrs. A. J. Bush of Poinoma/Sonoma ?, Calf, J. S ? Perkins of Detroit, MI and Mrs. Alice Hickok/Bickok ? of this city.

1910: Jan. 15th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mr. Richard Perkins died yesterday morning of pneumonia. He had lived here several years, coming from Wolcolt.

1914: June 27th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Mary Della Perkins, died this morning, aged 72 years. She was the widow of the late Jerome P. Perkins. Two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Havens and Mrs. C. M. Bacon survive. The funeral will be held at number 114  Helen street, the home of Mrs. Havens.

1919: Jan. 16th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Anna Spaulding Perkins, aged 75, formerly of this city, and the widow of J. Edward Perkins, died at her home in Kirkville Tuesday. The funeral will be held at 2:30 pm. Burial at Kirkville.

1914: June 27th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Mary Della Perkins died this morning, aged 73 years. She was the widow of the late Jerome T. Perkins, two daughters Mrs. W. H. Havens and Mrs. C. M. Bacon, and a son, Anson Perkins of Mexico, survive.

1915: Nov. 3rd: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Nov. 3rd: Potsdam, NY: Mr. Frank Perkins, who died at the Ogdensburg State Hospital, funeral services were held here yesterday. Rev. W. J. Hamilton officiated. Burial was in Garfield Cemetery. Perkins was committed to the asylum a few weeks ago. Two sons survive him.

1919: Jan. 16th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Annie Spaulding Perkins, aged 75, formerly of this city, and widow of J. Edward Perkins, died at her home in Kirkville, NY Tuesday. The funeral will be held in Kirkville, NY. Burial in Kirkville, NY.

1924: Oct. 12th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Presently a distiller by the name of Perkins died. Perkins had owned several of the distilleries from which Steve Harkness had got swill for his hogs. Harkness made an offer to the heirs for the distilleries and got them. At that time whiskey was selling at the distillery for 12 1/2 cents per gallon. Steven V. Harkness was associated with Rockefeller and Standard Oil.

1931: May 14th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. L. Eva Perkins, widow of Judson V. Perkins, died yesterday at St. Petersburg, FL after a short illness. The body will be brought to Syracuse, NY to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maude Blair Nottingham, where the funeral will take place. Burial will be in Courtland. Mrs. Perkins, a resident of Syracuse, NY for many years, had spent the winter at St. Petersburg. She was planning to return home shortly when she was stricken ill. She was a native of Erieville, NY.

1932: Feb 7th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Feb. 1st: Auburn, NY:  Carrie M. Perkins, died. Her Funeral was held Friday night at her house, 51 Mattie Street, was conducted at 2'o clock this afternoon from the Lester Brew Funeral rooms, 47 Clark Street. Burial was in Fort Hill Cemetery.

1937: Feb. 24th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mr. Osborne J. Perkins, 41 years of age, of 1706 Park Street. Rites were held at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Perkins*, 254 W. Brighton Ave. at 8:15 am and in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 8:50 am. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Mr. Perkins died Tuesday night of lobar pneumonia in St. Joseph's Hospital where he had been a patient since last Saturday. Mr. Perkins , native of Ogdensburg for 14 years of his 20 years in Syracuse, was advertising manager for the Roy Furniture Company. A member of the American Legion, he served in the Navy during the war. Surviving besides his parents, are his wife Mrs. Ethel P. Perkins and a son James Allen Perkins.

1937: May or March 23rd: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Ella Harris Perkins, widow of John P. Perkins, who died at her home in Amboy Center Friday night. Burial will be in Williamstown Cemetery. Mrs. Perkins was the daughter (daughter in law ?) of the late John and Lydia Perkins. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eva Wilkinson, a son John Perkins, a sister Mrs. Cora Harris, and 11 grandchildren.

Amboy, NY - Funeral services for Mrs. Ella J. Perkins were held at her home here May 23rd at 1:30 pm and 2 in the Methodist church, the Rev. Emily Harland officiating. Miss Harland and Mrs. Herbert Drought sang Beautiful Isle of Somewhere and Sweet by and by, favorite hymns of Mrs. Perkins. Bearers were William Faulkner, Earl Folls, Bradford Cable and Charles Spoon. Burial was in Fairview cemetery, Williamstown. Mrs. Perkins died at her home May 20th. She was a well known and highly esteemed resident of Amboy, and had been an active member of the Methodist church 44 years. She was born here Feb. 12, 1864, daughter of Horatio and Lydia Harris, and had spent all her life in Amboy with exception of four years when she resided near Oswego. On Nov. 23, 1886, she was married to John P. Perkins who died about 17 years ago. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Wilkinson, one son, John H. Perkins, with whom she made her home; one sister, Miss Cora Harris, who helped to care for her in her last illness, and 11 grandchildren.

1937: July 31st: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Rev. George M. Perkins, former pastor of the Bellevue Methodist Church, died at his home Thursday morning. The body was taken to Rome, where services were committed.

1940: Jan. 27th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Mrs. Hattie Perkins, died Friday at the home of her cousin, Floyd Bentley, Jr. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Mrs. Perkins was born in Baldwinsville, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William A. ______. Several cousins survive.

1940: March. 5th: The Syracuse Herald, Syracuse, NY.

Jan. 26th: Mrs. Harriet J. Perkins. She passes to her cousin, Floyd H. Bentley her entire estate. In her will she stated she could never repay the kindness her cousin and his wife had shown her. Her only other cousin is Mrs. A. J. Sims of Englewood, Calf.

1946: Jan. 28th: The Syracuse Herald-Journal, Syracuse, NY.

Mr. Howard Perkins, 45, died Sunday at Mercy General Hospital. The body will be placed in St. Thomas Cemetery vault, waiting burial in the spring in Garfield Cemetery, Potsdam, NY.

1947: March 18th: The Syracuse Herald-Journal, Syracuse, NY.

Miss Mary G. Perkins, died. She was born at Apulla and lived in Syracuse most of her life. She is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Kuhn of Rome, Mrs. Leonard H. Bogardus, Mrs. Henry A. Fisslebrand, Mrs. Ethel Clover, Mrs. Rose Perkins Rice, and Mrs. Elwood T. Vanloon; a brother Frank W. Perkins of Fort Dodge, IA. Bearers will be F. William Perkins, Charles A. Perkins, Edson Q. Perkins, and Robert P. Clover all nephews, and Frederick C. Ohland and G. Parker Gibson. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

1948: March 8th: The Syracuse Herald-Journal, Syracuse, NY.

Mr. John W. Perkins, 81, died yesterday in Syracuse General Hospital. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery. Mr. Perkins was a native of Ogdensburg and came to Syracuse in 1919 and had lived at the home of a daughter Mrs. Stanley A. Beach. Surviving are his daughter Mrs. Beach, a son Byron C. Mr. Edward A. Perkins, 54, died. He was on his way to work when he fell dead in the street. Mr. Perkins was a life long resident of Auburn. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lucy C. Haas, and two brothers, Mr. Perkins was a life long resident of Auburn. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lucy C. Haas, and two brothers, Robert E. Perkins of Auburn and Clarence D. Perkins of Seneca Falls, NY.
