1905: Jan-March

Jan 27th: Mr. Samuel Maxfield, 71, died. He was a native of Grand Isle, VT, one of a family of 10 children. As a boy his family moved to New York and later to Michigan. He returned to New York and in 1859 he married Miss Martha Crandall, dau. of Mrs. & Mrs. Gideon Crandall. About 11 years ago, he married Mrs. Harriet Perkins, widow of James Perkins of Potsdam, NY.

July 7th: Mr. Waldo Willson, 71, died. He was born at Shoreham, VT and came to this town with his parents at the age of six. Forty-Three years ago, he married Miss Wealthea A. Perkins of Parishville, NY. He is survived by his wife and three children, Rosco P. Willson, Dr. William H. Willson, and Miss Beatrice Willson.

Aug. 17th: Miss Minnie Perkins of Fond du lac, Wisconsin has returned to her home after a two week visit with Mr. J. W. Bennet's family on Pierpont Ave.

Mr. Frank Perkins and Mr. Hosea Perkins of this place, attended the funeral of their father at Pierrepont, NY, on Wednesday.

1907: July-Sept.

July 19th: Mrs. Thirza A. Perkins, 81, died at the home of her son, Mr. E. M. Perkins. Mrs. Perkins was born at Keene, Essex Co., NY. In 1845 she married Don F. Perkins. In 1902 Mr. Perkins died and in the fall of that year she came to live with her son.

Feb. 17th: Mrs. Winifred Perkins Day, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eva Fuller. Mrs. Day's husband, Leon Day died four years ago. Her mother and sister from Ogdensburg, NY were summoned and her brother from Chicago, IL.

PERKINS, late of the town of Parishville, NY, in the County of St. Lawrence, in the State of New York, deceased. Send Greetings.. Whereas, Herbert J. Sanford, the executor of the last Will and Testament of the said Sarah A. Perkins, has lately applied to our Surrogate of our County, to have his account as such executor as aforesaid, judicially settled. You are required to appear before said surrogate at his office in Potsdam, NY on the 1st day of April, 1912 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon to attend such settlement.

June 13th: Mr. Edson M. Perkins has a Historical Register for the year of 1782, printed by S. Mevill in the Old Baily London. It is an "Impartial Relation of all Transactions, Foreign and Domestic" according to it's text. He also has a Bible printed in Edinburgh in 1798, inscribed "To The Most High and Mighty Prince James, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland".

1913: April-June

June 13th: (Judge) Theodore H. Swift, died. Son of Hiram and Aurela (Foster) Swift. He was born June 14th, 1850 at Potsdam, NY. He married July 5, 1871, Miss Mary A. Perkins. Three sons were born to them. John H. Swift and Leon T. Swift (both of whom died in childhood). He is survived by his wife and one son, Hiram Swift and one sister, Mrs. Alveda Barbour of Ithaca, MI.

Mrs. John Azro Perkins, died on Aug. 23rd at Allens Falls, NY.

Sept. 5th: Mrs. Harriet Perkins, died on Aug. 23rd. Daughter of Hasting and Lucretia Cowles of High Flats, NY. She was married to John Azro Perkins on June 20th, 1872 of High Flats, NY. She leaves a husband and one daughter, Mrs. Alice Willis, one grand-daughter, Mrs. Blanch I. (Willis) Allen and one brother, Mr. Clark Cowles. There was one other little daughter who lived only three years, Olive Perkins.

Mrs. Hosea Perkins, died. Tenderly cared for by her sister, Mrs. Rosetta Perkins. She is survived by her husband, one son and his family, three brothers and one sister.

1915: July-Sept.

Aug. 27th: Mr. Edson M. Perkins, died. Edson Mott Perkins was born in the township of Parishville, NY on June 18th, 1847, son of Don F.  and Thirza (Mott) Perkins, his father being a native of Lyme, N.H. After the death of his father, Mr. Perkins still carried on the farms until about 15 years ago, he moved to Potsdam, NY. On Jan. 24th, 1868 he married Miss Emogene Tichenor of Parishville, NY, her death occurring in 1877. On June 20th, 1880 he married Miss Martha A. Long, also of Parishville, NY by whom, with one son, Francis L. Perkins of this village, he is survived by. Burial at Parishville Center Cemetery.

May 26th: Mrs. Katherine Perkins, 75, died. Mrs. Perkins was born near Stark, NY. She was the daughter of Robert and Jane (Hewitt) McCuen. She is survived by one brother, Mr. Robert McCuen of this village.

Mrs. Lewis Fuller entertained at her home, in honor of her mother, Mrs. Malena Perkins of Ogdensburg, NY.
