1917: Feb. 21st.

Feb. 19th - Mrs. Amelia C. Perkins, wife of Elias Perkins, died at her home Tuesday evening Feb. 13th, at the age of 74 years. Mrs. Perkins had been an invalid for 33 years. Three years ago she suffered a stroke of cerebral apoplexy since which time she had been confined to her  bed. It can well be said that a good woman has gone to her reward. She was a great sufferer, but no word of complaint was ever heard. Her only thought was that she might be a burden to others. Although she has been called from among us the example of true unselfishness, Christian faith and untiring patience will ever live in our memories. They sympathy of all is extended to the aged husband and two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Magoon, of Boston, and Mrs. Clarence Flanders, of South Malone. The funeral was held from the Congregational church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Wright officiating. Interment in the Stevens Cemetery.
