ABRAHAM T. PERKINS
Abraham T. Perkins b.3.31.1802 NY d.6.6.1882 MI. Son of (Christopher & Hannah Bishop (Carpenter) Perkins). His wife HARRIET (HOPPER) b.1805 NY d. 10.20.1875 Valparaiso, IN while visiting her son Lewis Perkins. They were listed on the 1830 Census at Ira, Cayuga Co., NY Census. He removed with his brothers from NY to MI. They were listed on the 1840 Michigan Census in Adrian, Lenawee Co., MI.

Their known children were:

Elmeron Perkins b.1814 NY d.1881 MI. Son of (John Newman & Betsey (Tanner) Perkins).  His wife ELIZA B. (CHURCH) b.1810 d.1888 MI. They came from Warren Co., NY and were listed on the 1840 Census at Dover, Lenawee Co., MI. In 1850-186 MI Census in Rome, Lenawee Co., MI. In 1870 this family removed to Grundy Co., IL.

Their known children were:

Christopher Perkins b.3.18.1795 NY d.2.21.1878 Gratiot Co., MI. Son of (Christopher & Rebecca (Palmer) Perkins). His 1st wife UNKNOWN. His 2nd ? wife Mrs. SARAH "SALLY" (OSBORN) CHASE b.1803 Canada d.1875 Gratiot Co., MI. Christopher Perkins and Mrs. Sally (Osborn) Chase were married Feb. 6, 1839 in Madison, Lenawee Co., MI. He came to Michigan around 1836 and first purchased land in Township\Range 003 North-002 West, Section 33, W1/2 NE 1/4 in Ingham Co., MI. On 8/10/1839 he purchased land in Township\Range 008 South-002 West, Section 11, NE 1/4 in Hillsdale Co., MI. He is listed on the 1840 Census at Dover, Lenawee Co., MI and on the 1850 Census at Hillsdale, Genesee Co.,  MI. In 1860 he is listed on the census at Ransom, Hillsdale Co., MI

Unknown children w/1st wife:

Their known children w/Sarah were:

1. Hyram O. Perkins b.1843 MI  d. Civil War - at the battle of Gaines Mills and was buried on the battle-ground.
2. Francis M. Perkins b.1845 MI m. Effie (Bradley) and removed to Pettisville, Fulton Co., Ohio for awhile but returned to Saginaw, MI

Hiram Perkins b.ca.1815. His wife CATHERINE (CHASE). He first purchased land on 9/15/1835 in Township\Range 006 South-002 East, Section 20, W1/2 NW 1/4 in Lenawee Co., MI. He is listed on the 1840 Census as "Hinman Perkins" in Rome, Lenawee Co., MI. In 1850 he is listed as Hiram Perkins at Rollin, Lenawee Co., MI.

Their known children were:

1. Mary R. Perkins b.1836 MI d. 4.30.1911 MI m. _____ Losee
2. Samantha Perkins b.1838 MI
3. Chester Perkins b.1843 MI

John Tanner Perkins b.7.2.1810 Greenwich, Washington Co., NY d.1861 Rollin, Lenawee Co., MI. Son of (John Newman & Betsey (Tanner) Perkins). His wife MARY M. (JONES). He first purchased land on 10/1/1835 in Township\Range 007 South-002 East, Section 6, E 1/2 SW 1/4. They were listed on the 1840 Michigan Census at Dover, Lenawee Co., MI. John T. Perkins died and his wife m. 2nd. John Forbes.

Their known children were:

James R. Perkins b.1807 NY d.8.8.1863 KY (Civil War). Son of (Gilbert & Elizabeth (Synder) Perkins). His wife m.11.29.1830 at Conquest, Cayuga Co., NY in the home of William Synder/Snider;  ELEANOR (VanSISE). They were listed on the 1850 Census at Mentz, Cayuga Co., New York Census and in 1860 Census at Adrian, Lenawee Co., MI.

Their known children were:

He first purchased land on 9.15.1831 Township\Range 007 South-033 East in Section 6, NW1/2 in Lenawee Co., MI. In 1835 he resided at Dover, Lenawee Co., MI. They were listed on the 1840 at Madison, Lenawee Co., MI.

They were listed on the 1820 Census at Cato, Cayuga Co., NY and in 1830 at Ira, Cayuga Co., NY. He first purchased land in Township\Range 007 South-003 East, Section 7, NW 1/4 next to Moses Perkins (listed above). They were listed on the 1840 Census at Dover, Lenawee Co., MI. Twin of Moses P. Perkins (above).

Their known children were:

William Perkins b.1780 Naples, VT or NY. His wife SUSANNAH (HUBBARD) b.1790 VT d.1850 MI. They were married in Vermont. In 1818 they removed to Galen, Seneca Co. (In 1823 became Galen, Wayne Co)., NY and lived there until 1838. He is listed on the 1820 Census at Galen, Seneca Co., NY as "William Perkins".  He is listed on the 1830 Census at Galen, Wayne Co., NY Census as "William Purkins".  In 1840 he was listed at Census at Rome, Lenawee Co., MI. In 1850 he was listed as age 70.

They were known to have had 11 children.

William J. Perkins Jr. b.ca.1801-1810 VT/NY.  He came from Galen, Wayne Co., NY to MI in 1838. Son of (William & Susannah (Hubbard) Perkins). His wife JANE (Unknown) b.1813 NY.  He is listed on the 1840 Michigan Census at Dover, Lenawee Co., MI near Christopher Perkins & Hiram Perkins & Elmeron Perkins and on the 1850,1860 Census at Adrian, Lenawee Co., MI. In 1870 at Hudson, Lenawee Co., MI in the household with his brother John L. Perkins.

Their known child was:

1. Jane Perkins b.1846 MI
2. (possibly) Frances Amanda Perkins b. ca. 1850 MI d.1880 m. Francis Edson Drury

*A Samuel B. McCarty\McCourtie, age 13 was living in their household in 1850*
