    who married 1st. Jane (Simpson) m 2nd; the widow: Mrs. Louisa (Otis) Perkins. In 1870 
    he is listed at Beloit, Rock Co., WI with wife 
    DELIA M. (ROBERTS). 
    In 1880 they are listed at Quincy, Adams Co., IL. In 1857 Mr. N.O. Perkins 
    was the owner/editor of a Republican paper called "The Beloit Times" which 
    was later changed to the "Beloit Courier" in association with his partner 
    Barret H. Smith under the firm of Perkins & Smith.  A newspaper 
    consolidation occurred and the newspaper was then known as the Beloit 
    "Journal & Courier". In 1873 Mr. N.O. Perkins changed to a position on the 
    staff of the Milwaukee Sentinel.
