Harford Joseph Perkins b.8.26.1819 Newark, Tioga Co.., NY d.12.20.1892 Kent
Co., Michigan. Son of (Richard & Sybil
(Dean) Perkins). His wife m.1848; HARRIET (PARSONS).
They were listed on the 1850 Census at Owego, Tioga Co., NY. On the 1860
Census at Cogan, Lycoming Co., PA. In 1870 at Williamsport, Lycoming Co.,
PA. Sometime before 1880, they removed to Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI where he died
in 1892. He was the founder of the
Perkins Machine Company - Grand Rapids - Michigan.
