**Note** According to the Vermont Vital Records that recorded his death. It is written "His parents were taken by the Indians when he was two years old. He was at a neighbors house at the time. He does not know the names of his parents". So the question is. Was he born with the surname of "PERKINS" or, were the neighbor's whose house he was at named PERKINS  ? A YDNA test of a male Perkins from this line would need to be tested against other PERKINS males at FamilyTreeDNA.com. to be able to identify if he was born a PERKINS or not.
