CHARLES W. PERKINS
Charles Waterman Perkins b.1767 VT. Son of (Charles & Abigail (Waterman) Perkins)( Charles(4)Nathan(3),David(2),Abraham(1) of Hampton, NH.). His wife ROSANNA "ANNA" (BROOKS). I believe it is he who is listed on the 1820 NY Census at Freeport, Ontario Co., NY. His brother Philip Perkins lived at Middlebury, Genesee Co., NY. His father died at Middlebury, (Genesee) Wyoming Co., NY in 1829.

Further research is needed to prove or disprove his residence in Ontario Co., NY 1820.

He was listed on the 1820 & 1830 & 1840 New York Census at Victor, Ontario Co., NY. They removed to Indiana. His wife later removed to Allen, Hillsdale Co., Michigan.

Their known children were:

John H. Perkins b. 1760-1779. His wife BETSEY (ROYCE/RICE), b.1774 ? d.1840 West Bloomfield, Ontario Co., NY the widow of John Sears Peck. They were married at West Bloomfield, Ontario Co., NY on Nov. 6th, 1816. They resided at Freeport, Ontario Co., NY in 1820. She is buried next to a "Memorial" Grave marker for her 1st husband John Sears Peck located at the Pioneer Cemetery - West Bloomfield, Ontario Co., NY.

They were listed on the 1820 New York Census at Henrietta, Ontario Co., NY. In 1821 Henrietta, NY became a town in Monroe, Co., NY. He was then listed at Byron, Genesee Co., NY in 1840. He may of been living with his son Harlan D. Perkins at Byron, Genesee Co., NY in 1830 since he is not listed on the census under his own name. He may be the Leonard Perkins who is listed on the 1830 Census at Buffalo, Erie Co., NY.
